Chacala Bay

Arrived in Chacala Bay in the afternoon after the rough trip - Winds steady at least 18knots gusting to 25 knots almost the entire 26 hour trip from Chamela to Chacala around the notorious Cabo Currientes.

Leave Chamela

Leave Chamela Bay to motor sail up to Chacala. Weather report is for fair winds and calm seas. Will be an overnight trip estim. 24 hours

Leave Isla Grande and motor over to Zihuatanejo Bay. Anchor off of Playa Madera.

Arrive Isla Grande/Ixtapa. Anchor.

Leave Santiago Bay and sail all day and overnight south to Isla Grande/Ixtapa.

Leave Barra de Navidad and motor/sail south to Santiago Bay. Anchor off of Playa Miramar.

Leave Barra de Navidad and motor/sail south to Santiago Bay. Anchor off of Playa Miramar.

Leave Tenacatita and motor/sail south to Barra de Navidad. Anchor in the lagoon.

Leave Chamela Bay and motor/sail south to Tenacatita Bay. Anchor off of Boca de Iguanas.

Leave Tehuamixtle and sail south to Chamela Bay. Thanksgiving. Anchored in bay just for one night.

Leave La Cruz de Huanamixtle and sail/motor south around Cabo Corrientes to Ipala Bay. Anchor in tiny Tehuamixtle.

Launched from the Opequimar boatyard with brand new bottom. Motor over and anchor off of La Cruz de Huanamixtle to wait for weather window to head south.

Finally leave Paradise Village Marina and motor over to the Opequimar boatyard in Marina Vallarta for haulout.

Motored over to Paradise Village Marina in Nuevo Vallarta! Will be in slip C-1 for the next 5 months to wait out the rainy/hurricane season.

Arrive Banderas Bay and anchor off of La Cruz de Huanamixtle. Waiting for June 1st entry to the marina for the hurricane season.

leave Tenacatita and travel north to Chamela Bay. Anchor out at the islands in the south end of the bay due to large swells. Just a few hours of sleep, then out to sea and head north again.

Leave Barra de Navidad for the short hop north to Tenacatitia Bay. Drop anchor in Boca de Iguanas anchorage of Tenacatita Bay.

Leave Santiago Bay and head north to Barra de Navidad lagoon. Arrive in Barra and anchor in the quiet calm lagoon.

Anchor in Santiago Bay tucked up in front of Playa Miramar- much more protected from the south swell.

GIANT SWELLS with breaking waves in the anchorage! Emergency exit of the Las Hadas anchorage and motor the 1 hour up to Santiago Bay
